Sushi No Ya Japanese Restaurant

>> Friday, February 5, 2010

Date: 31 January 2010, Sunday
Venue: Sushi No Ya Japanese Restaurant, Berjaya Megamall, Kuantan
Occasion: Lunch with Aaron
Overall comment: Moderately tasty sushi (I still feel that Sendo No Ya is better). A 'lil too expensive for the taste you get... it lacks the 'umph' of Japanese food!
Halal: Yes

Aaron & I wanted to have a simple & not-too-heavy lunch, so we ended up trying Sushi No Ya's sushi instead of going over to our usual Japanese restaurant, Sendo No Ya, across the road. The name sounds all too similar, making us wonder what does "No Ya" means...

To my greatest delight, I found out that the word "-ya" refers to the store where the objects are sold, & "-no" is a particle used to join two nouns together to be a compound noun! *fuh* Too 'technical' for the ruthless eater :P anyway, here is the main dish that we had - a mixed sushi platter! Feeds 2 not-very-hungry eaters ;)

The sushi tastes alright. It's not 'wow' but thankfully the fish slices were fresh :) *yums* Looking at it now, I actually crave for some Japanese food!

If you're in Berjaya Megamall, Kuantan & you feel like having some Japanese food nearby, this is one decent place to satisfy your craving. If you're willing to walk a 'lil further, just cross the road & you'll end up at one of the better Japanese food places in Kuantan, Sendo No Ya! :D

Itadakimasu!!
