Venue: Kuantan & Kemaman
Occasion: Weekend get-away with friends
Overall comment: IT WAS A BLAST!!
Day 2 - Saturday (cont.)
I received some feedback from my colleague that some write-up on each post would actually be beneficial. Thanks for the feedback! Perhaps I should include some description with the photos although a picture could speak a thousand words!
At the Sungai Pandan Waterfalls near Sungai Lembing...
This waterfall is located on the way to the Sungai Lembing. It takes roughly 40minutes drive from Kuantan town & it quite easily located. You can take either the Indera Mahkota route or use the Air Force area route, which is slightly further from town, but it's a more familiar route.
Upon arrival, you'll need to pay RM2.00/person/entry. It's not too demanding for the management of this place to ask for such a price since they actually strive to keep the amenities like toilets in proper condition & there's ample parking space as well.
I feel that this is a must try. The old uncle & aunty have been in this business for more than 20 years! Their little stall opens at 5:30a.m. & by 8.30a.m., you may not get anymore chee cheong fun...there's dried shrimp & bits of spring onions in the chee cheong fun.
Cendol & Rojak at Mustafa Cendol Corner, Jalan Teluk Sisek...
You'll find one of the better cendols & rojaks at this place :) Reasonably priced - ranging from RM1.20 - RM2.70 for desserts & RM3.00 above for rojak. (prices are based on estimation & my fading memory)
Tea-time! Piping-hot curry puffs from Taman Gelora, Kuantan
That's quite a lot of food for the few hours after our "play", eh? :D We ate & ate & ate (yes, that's what happens when you're on a holiday with PerutBesi. She'll try to bring you to all the good food places!) & were still hungry by dinner time!
Dinner's up in the next post! Stay tuned ;)
Note: Additional credits to my newly appointed photographer, Alex Chua for most of the photos taken during the trip :D

never been in Sungai Pandan before but seriously the waterfall looks amazing...and the Cendol Pulut...whooa, thats my favorite...nice pics
too bad the water was low hor, otherwise it would have been even more amazing! you totally nailed the butterfly shot. gorgeous.
->etomyam: One of the more popular & easiest to locate waterfalls...the other ones are Pelangi Waterfall at Sg Lembing (you need to hire the 4WD to get you in with a guide), & Berkelah Waterfalls, where the road is SOO horrible that you will need a 4WD too! Oh yeah, the cendol pulut there is good...must try if you're there :D
-> C & C: Yeah man...would be nicer with higher water levels! But then again, that place won't be as safe if the water level is high...many have died there before!!! Talking 'bout the butterfly shot, it was great joy to be able to catch that! My friend was amazing to get that shot!! :D
Cendol or ABC.. go to Air Putih, Kuantan. That's better than cendol mustafa IMHO =)
->Anonymous: Hi there...yeah I know of that cendol place as well, but it's a rather small place, isn't it? Some ppl tell me that the shop's cendol in Air Putih is better, while some say the one at a stall is better! Which is the 'real' cendol place?? :P
