Overall comment: Great-tasting food & generous portion at affordable prices!
Halal: Pork-free

Table Talk Restaurant has been around for almost 2 years now & it has since been a popular eatery in Taman Tun Dr Ismail area & its surrounding areas. This humble restaurant boasts of serving "real food" that "tastes good" & I have to agree with its boasting! The restaurant is opened for breakfast through dinner, offering a variety of fusion meals that are creative, innovative, & most importantly, tastes good!

Night view of the restaurant - reminds me of Christmas!

Interior of the restaurant - spacious & comfortable

Pride of Table Talk

For this review, Table Talk introduced to us some of their latest creations & current best-sellers, which will be available on their new, improved menu this month. I have to say that the dishes that we tasted were delicious!

Drinks: Orange+Carrot Juice (RM9.50/glass), Flat White (RM8.00/cup)
Nothing to complain. The fresh juice is refreshing & nutritious after a long day at work.

Drink: Lemon Ribena Soda (RM8.50/glass)
Looks SO good! Bet it tasted great as well, but I wanted something fresh & non-fizzy, so I took the fruit juice.

Appetizer Combo (RM35.00/serving)
This combo may look common, but the taste is certainly not common! Each item has its unique, distinct taste, which makes the platter a very enjoyable eating experience. The chicken wings has fish sauce added to it, while the crispy prawns have a strong pepper fragrance. The chicken fingers & fries were also very nice & hey, they used the air-fryer for their french fries! Healthy yo! This is actually one of the best appetizer platters that I've had for the year & in these past few years! *gasps*

Tom Yam Seafood Carbonara (RM22.00/serving)
Surprisingly SO good! The pasta dish has a well-balanced tom yam sour taste, just the right note of spiciness & creamy enough as well. With the freshness of the seafood, I would say that this dish deserves at least 9/10 points! Blogging about it makes me wanna have this for dinner now *drools*

Oxtail Linguine (RM32.00/serving)
Something different, Something good,
Table Talk's real food, Tastes so good!
I love the well-braised, tender oxtail. The linguine is lightly seasoned & doesn't carry much taste until it meets with the oxtail's gravy. Yums! The portion is actually enough to feed 2 persons!

Chicken Parmesan (RM28.00/serving)
After enjoying the 2 pasta dishes, this felt slightly below average. There was enough cheese on the chicken, but the chicken + ham slice + tomato-based gravy made the chicken dish slightly too salty for my liking. The blanched local spinach at the bottom of the chicken felt 'out of place' as well. The mash was creamy, but maybe slightly too heavy on the milk/butter, but I can still accept it since I'm a potato-lover. All in all, I think this dish has room for improvement if they want to make it the next best-seller :)

Mini Wagyu Burgers (RM38.00/serving)
After tasting the 3 dishes, I felt that these AREN'T MINI! With the thickness of the wagyu beef patties, I think I can only finish 2 of the burgers & not even touch the fries! But these are delicious. The meat is properly cooked (medium) & they added some "kick" in their mayonnaise by adding some wasabi in it. Good stuff!

Table Talk Signature Hot Plate Pancake (RM15.00/serving)
Bananas & strawberries on a sizzling pancake? Oolala...I loved the hot & slightly melting fruits, but I felt the pancake was a tad too thick for my liking. Flavour is lovely though :)

Chocolate Cake with Ice Cream (RM15.00/serving)
This simple dessert was my favorite among the 2 served that evening. The rich chocolate cake, caramelized banana, & cool vanilla ice-cream goes extremely well! Although I'm no sweet tooth, I think I could finish the whole pan by myself! *love*

Map to Table Talk Restaurant

If you haven't dined at Table Talk before, you have to at least try their pasta (the Tom Yam Seafood Carbonara is my pick!). Small eaters can share a single portion, but those who have a 'ginormous' appetite will happily enjoy the full portion alone!
