Venue: Wisma UOA1, Damansara Heights
Overall comment: Food was okay, price is slightly above average (cafe prices), but the service was quite disappointing - slowwww....
Halal: Yes
For those working around Damansara Heights, we have a new player in town! Row-Six is located at Wisma UOA1, right opposite HELP University College. This shop lot has been changing tenants, but seems like Row-Six is doing well enough to remain here for some time.
Every workday (I can't speak for weekends since I'm not in office), this place will be packed!! Some of us were turned down few times as there were no seats & the boss requested us to get back another day. Fuh!
Since it's so packed EVERY workday, I HAD to try this place out to see why it's such a crowd-puller. Is it because of the food, the price, or just the mere convenience...or worse still, perhaps this is the ONLY better place for a meal in Damansara Heights??!
The restaurant has quite a simple design. Most of its space is open-air with air-condition, while there's a small space that's enclosed with air-condition as well. It's quite noisy during peak hours & most of the time, you'll have to stand for some time, waiting for a seat. If you rather not wait, get there earlier, before 12pm. They don't even attend to reservations...
This place serves Asian dishes, mainly Vietnames, Indonesian, Thai, Singaporean, & Malaysian as well.
They even have a "caller service" on every table, but I can testify that it's almost useless. We pressed it several times to get the waiter, but to no avail. Sigh. What for put such a device on the table when it doesn't work properly? I'm not sure if the same happens at all tables, but it happened to our table! No waiter gets the buzz. Bummer.
Anyway, here are some of the dishes that we ordered....
Nasi Ketuk with Chicken Rendang (RM16.95+/serving)
Rice somehow isn't as fragrant & tasty as it looks, but the chicken rendang is quite aromatic. The chilli dip was quite spicy though :S
Assorted Vegetable Curry Noodles (RM8.95+/serving)
This arrived as a wrong order, but I managed to take a photo of it before the waiter came to take it away (again). When the noodles arrived, we were quite surprised as my colleague remembered ordering a clear-soup noodles, but a curry one arrived instead. The waiter who delivered the order insisted that it's the correct order =.=" "Sudah salah masih tak nak mengaku pulak..."
Assorted Vegetable Noodles (RM8.95+/serving)
This is the actual order! But it really looks too "vegetarian" & "clear" to taste good :S I'm not too sure how it really tasted since it's not my order, but I don't think it's my type of order :P
Nasi Ketuk with Lemongrass Chicken (RM14.95+/serving)
This is my order & I wasn't too satisfied with it. I didn't know that "lemongrass chicken" will come in such a form. I was expecting something like the chicken rendang with some gravy :( Anyway, the chicken was kinda dry & it wasn't very "fun" to eat since it was too dry to swallow "comfortably". Haha. The fish crackers were a bit soft too...sobs. Paid so much for such quality of food...is it just not my day or what...
Tomato Seafood Fried Rice (RM9.95+/serving)
Oh my goodness...it's an EXTREMELY SMALL portion for the price paid!! Like come on! This is NOT a kids' meal....ergh....doesn't look appetizing too....where's the seafood? My colleague said there were some pieces of squid & prawns in existance...right....
Fried Kuey Teow (RM9.95+/serving)
Another kids' meal portion dish. Nuf said. "Char kuey teow" at Jln Batai is WAY better for half the price.
Tom Yam Rice Noodles with Beef (RM12.95+/serving)
Er...doesn't look fantastic. My colleague said it just tastes sour with tiny slices of beef. He didn't really like it :S
Nasi Ketuk with Tandoori Chicken (RM14.95+/serving)
Someone please tell me which part of the chicken looks tandoori? It looks & tasted more like a roast chicken than a tandoori chicken. The only "tandoori" items were the dips/sauces? Hohoho....
The "damage"
Quite expensive for lunch, eh?
I am the Ruthless eater. Once bitten, twice shy. I'm not very "forgiving" with unpleasant 1st impressions (yes, ruthless, I am). Will I have my lunch here again? Nope! Unless I have no other choices AT ALL. I rather have Subway than this any time....hahahaha....
But this place is & will still forever be packed. I'm still not sure if it's for the food, the price, the portion, or for the mere convenience. I'm beginning to conclude that it's for convenience. So do try it out for yourself & not depend on my sole judgement ;)

I tried it last week. Sevice was really slooooooooow. Food was ok only but the price is expensive, and with such service they dare to charge service charge.
Really curious on this - Do u manage to finish it all? ?..or u dah bao home for family members?

Ace Angel: I only had the nasi ketuk with lemongrass chicken. Nothing spectacular..and yes, I finished most of it...didn't finish all cos I really couldn't make myself to eat more d...haha...
Haha...thanks for reply.
I got curious becoz d bill was quite a lot of items and usually can only be finished by at least 4 persons, you are truly Perutbesi! Respect!
Also from your food journey, I guess u r not only Perut besi but also a quite loaded lady.
Cheers, God is truly with you.
@Ace Angel: I think there were more than 4 of us that day :) And nope, I'm not quite loaded! Just the average medium-income person in msia...I get invited to reviews, where the food served are complimentary since I write for them, so i guess that's why you see me eating really expensive food as well. But on the overall, I'm the type of person who does go for hawker food most of the time! :)
Hope I can join you in one of those review session. I love food n photography too.
Cheers n peace ~~~
