Wallop Burger, SS2

>> Wednesday, April 18, 2012

Overall comment: Good pork burger at an acceptable price. Must try if you're a "simple pork burger" lover :)
Halal: No

Wallop Burger is one of the newest pork burger outlets in town. It has been around for probably half a year now & is strategically located at SS2 Chow Yang area, on the same row as the newly renovated Ho Ho Sek Food Court (previously known as the Chow Yang coffeeshop, behind Kayu Nasi Kandar).

Piggies Everywhere
As at every other porky place, you'll see a whole collection of piggies in various shapes & sizes. Wallop Burger showcases their range at their counter...heehee...

Simple Menu
There are only 4 types of ala carte burgers & 2 types of combo meals: doesn't take that much time to decide ;)

Discount for Students
The outlet also offers free wifi & 10% off for students. They've removed their "Happy Hour" promotion though :(

I've passed by this outlet numerous times, but it was only recently that I managed to grab a pork burger from this outlet & yup, walloped it up! :D My colleagues who were with me were also quite pleased with their burgers. It's certainly larger in size as compared to Ninja Joe's, but the patty is not THAT thick compared to the processed McD's burgers...hahaha...on the overall, this burger is still WAY better than "processed-meat" burgers - nutrition & texture wise ;)

 Add-Ons
You can even "build your own burger" by adding on various ingredients available.

What we had...

Our lunch for that day :P Yums!

As mentioned, there are 4 types of burgers at Wallop Burger:
1. Mamma Wallop (RM6.00)
Single patty with lettuce, tomato, onions, mayonnaise, cheese

2. Papa Wallop (RM9.80)
Double patties with lettuce, tomato, onions, mayonnaise, cheese

3. Sergeant Wallop (RM12.80)
Triple patties with lettuce, tomato, onions, mayonnaise, cheese

4. Hot Boy (RM10.80)
Double patties (spicy) with lettuce, tomato, onions, mayonnaise, cheese

5. Combo Meals
* Only available for Mama Wallop (RM9.50) & Papa Wallop (RM12.80). Combo meals consists of a burger, french fries, & a soft drink.

Ms Soo's Hot Boy + Mushrooms
There's no combo set for Hot Boy, so boohoo...you'll have to go ala carte.

Pork patties were juicy! *yums*

Mr Tan's Mama Wallop + Bacon
He said he can't really taste the bacon...awww...

PerutBesi's Mama Wallop!

With added mushrooms!
I love mushrooms...

Juicy, not-too-fine patty
I enjoyed the juicy & flavourful pork patty in between soft, warm buns. It's not the usual "Ramly burger" buns! Woots! I wish the patty was thicker & have more "bite", but for RM6.00, this is as much as you can get :)

I love "fat fries" too...
Not too thin: thick-cut french fries - crispy on the outside, soft & "powdery" on the inside.

I certainly won't mind popping here from time to time when I've cravings for pork burger & I just wanna spend less than RM10 to get my cravings satisfied ;)

Been there a couple of times myself. I prefer their pork patties to Ninja Joe's because they don't reek of onions.

Tried Ninja Joe's but have yet to try this. I like mine with bacon, cheese, egg and mushrooms! Hehe.

@synical: For me, it's not just the taste, but the size...NJ is way too small la...at least this one is decent...

@Mizz Sharon: Hahaha...nice! The burgers here are way tiny-er compared to the other gourmet burger places...this place doesn't have gourmet burgers. It's more "ramly burger" kinda burgers, but they serve pork!
