Awesome Trip to Kuantan-Kemaman (Part 5)

>> Wednesday, March 24, 2010

Dates: 26 - 28 February 2010, Friday - Sunday
Venue: Kuantan & Kemaman
Occasion: Weekend get-away with friends
Overall comment: IT WAS A BLAST!!

Day 2 - Saturday (cont.)

This post is the final post for Day 2! *woots* Yes, I still have just ONE more day to share about this Kuantan-Kemaman trip, after which I will proceed with many other posts on restaurants & places to eat! *yum yum*

Dinner at Crocodile Rock...

Crocodile Rock
is located in the residential area of Kubang Buaya in Kuantan, along the road towards the Teluk Cempedak beach. It's one of the coziest restaurants for a simple & satisfactory Western meal. Its lovely ambiance is one of the reasons why I recommended this place to my colleagues/friends for dinner. Apart from seafood, this is a good change :)

Extensive menu to choose from - what should we eat tonight?

Chill-out music room

There are real, working instruments for some jamming ;)

The drinks
...

Chicken Chop (RM15.00/serving)

Why isn't my food here yet :(

Pizza Marinara (RM26.00/pizza)
The best pizza here, I think :P

Sunset Special (RM21.50/pizza)

Spaghetti Carbonara (RM16.50/serving)
Yums! I love this as well :)

Char-Grilled Chicken with Rosemary & Garlic Sauce (RM18.00/serving)
I felt that the sauce was very special. It was fragrant with the rosemary & garlic, yet not over-powering. The "dauphinoise" (creamy oven-baked potatoes) that accompanies the dish gave the simple poultry dish a delightful twist! Ah...perhaps I have found my comfort food after all!! *joy*

Kid's Meal - Junior Chicken Burger with Fries (RM9.50/serving)
If you're not extremely hungry, I believe this would satisfy you & keep you happy :D

PerutBesi & her Pizza Bianco (RM22.00/pizza)
Pizza Bianco was something different on the menu, so I gave it a try. It's a cream & spinach base pizza with salmon, onions, & mozzarella cheese. Erm, it felt rather strange & I still much prefer the usual tomato-base pizzas. Somehow it's more appetizing & not so "jelak". Nice try anyhow :D

I thought this could take the both of us home, but no! PerutBesi is too heavy :(

SO full but satisfied!

Chilling out at Aaron's

Most of us had the same dishes at Crocodile Rock, thus you saw only a few dishes shared on this blog. It's the end of my Day 2 blog post!! YAY!! It's time to prepare Day 3's & move on with at least 5 more blog posts on reviews of various food places ;)

Stay tuned with PerutBesi!

The Traveler,
Ruth

->sahli: Encik Sahli!! So good to have u dropping by :) Yeap! Crocodile Rock is a halal western food restaurant! Since u're in Kuantan, go try la...just on the way to TC :D

Btw, I think there are quite a substantial number of western food places in Kuantan: East Grill (Off Jln Beserah, near Maxis centre), Bay Leaf (Seri Kuantan, behind Vistana area), Sherwood (Jln Teluk Sisek, beside Pantai Selamat supermarket), & Cherating Steak House (off Jalan Beserah, after Maybank, near JPJ traffic light)...& I'm sure many more la :D
