Sea Park Mamak Nasi Lemak

>> Monday, January 25, 2010

Date: 21 January 2010, Thursday
Venue: Sea Park
Occasion: Dinner with dad
Overall comment: Humble mamak with irresistible deep-fried chicken served with fragrant coconut-flavored rice, covered with tasty onion & ikan bilis sambal *drools*
Halal: Yes

I need not say more... if you're longing & craving for some simple, local food that keeps you satisfied, just head to the Maybank area in Sea Park & you'll find this one & only mamak. It's usually "full house", patroned mostly by young working adults and students. The stall is only opened at night, so give this place a try for dinner! (or even supper) ;)

Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng (RM4.50/serving)
I was so disappointed that my fried egg wasn't the usual "bull's eye" type. It rarely comes this way unless you request for it. Just in case, do indicate whether you want your egg fully cooked or half-cooked. The 'set' comes with a piece of deep-fried chicken, rice, fried egg, sambal, peanuts, ikan bilis, & cucumber slices. It's quite worth eating :)
Note: The piece of chicken looks bigger than what you see here...my angle for this photo is just not up to standard :( Wrong item to focus on....

->C & C: :D Go try it...it's not very spicy. I like it best with the telur goreng mata kerbau la...I was so disappointed mine didnt come with that, but an overdone fried egg :( I could have requested, but I've no idea why I didnt...sigh..

Arks!! That egg is indeed disappointing! Sunny side up a must for nasi lemak!

Used to come here when I am working graveyard shift. Their ayam goreng is nice.

->minchow: I know!!! I dunno why I didn't demand for an exchange! *sigh* I just stared at plates of nasi lemak with sunny-side-up fried eggs pass me by! *wergh*

->Simon Seow: Their ayam goreng is still nice :P Though somehow I felt that it's a lil 'commercialized' d...ah...gone were those good ole days where things are so authentic & simple :(
