Date: 28 June 2009, Sunday
Venue: Delicious, Bangsar Village 2
Occasion: Junie's belated birthday lunch
Overall comment: A very popular hang-out spot for the young & old, this cafe offers an array of food from local to western dishes. It's famous for their pasta & the Nasi Kerabu Ayam Percik, which is a must-try when you're there :) Price-wise, it's slightly high, but the portion balances the thought of paying for the food ordered.
Rosemary & Garlic Fried Potatoes (RM9.90)
VERY yummy! The potatoess were piping-hot & crispy on the outside, & soft on the inside :) The fragrance of the rosemary was just lovely & harmoniosly blended with the fried potatoes & garlic. The dish was well-salted; not too salty, not too tasteless *yums*

Smoked Salmon Angelhair (RM24.90)
I thought this would be a delicious dish since EB recommended it as well. It turned out not as nice as I wish & hope it would be *sigh* The salmon was rather "fishy" (I know salmon's a type of fish, but if it's fresh, it shouldn't have that smell/taste), & the cream was too salty :S I struggled to finish it...jelak...wergh...

Nasi Kerabu Ayam Percik (RM19.90)
This local delight is served with raw ulam/vegetables (like four angle beans, long beans, & beansprout), 1/2 a salted egg, fish keropok (cracker) + the sambal budu (fermented anchovy sauce). I reckon it's an acquired taste, since not everyone will enjoy the raw veggie & the sambal, but I thought this was the best dish that we ordered that day! I regreted not ordering this :( My pasta wasn't as nice as I wish it would be...

Mushroom Mascarpone Spaghetti (RM20.90)
The dish comes with lemon zest, walnuts, & coriander, an interesting & supposedly refreshing combination...sadly, Junie didn't like it & she didn't finish it *sigh* It was indeed lacking in the lemon juice & the dish was also slightly bland. The mushrooms were nice though, but overall, nothing to shout about.

only went for their desserts all this while. the mains seem to be rather popular, but never tried.
pity bout the salmon pasta though.
BV's in my kampung & I never went to eat at Delicious there...
Gonna have to try it...Have you tried Marco's Pizza & Pasta in the same place? It's pretty okay but I'm no established foodie so my tastebuds are questionable! :)
Nvr really liked their desserts, guess i'm spoiled aft eating JHP's & FBB's.
AS for their mains..I nvr understd why its full house all the time! Most are so-so only and for local food I rather hit the hawkers'!
