It's been 3 days since I last wrote anything on this site! Really sorry for the delay in updates :( Frankly speaking, I've been terribly busy at work...the entire week was filled with meetings (on certain days, I have full day of meetings, from 9am - 6pm)!! Ergh...I don't enjoy meetings! After a whole day of meetings, some back to back, I feel SO sapped out & couldn't do anything else effectively, except to 'vegetate' on my seat 'til I regain my 'senses' :P
Last Wednesday, a few of us wanted to have Yong Tau Foo for lunch, but the restaurant in Serdang didn't open, so we ended up at the Duck Wang place nearby. On Thursday, we decided to try again...we went all the way to Serdang, packed with hopes that the restaurant will be opened this time! Sounds as if we were SO desperate for Yong Tau Foo, eh? More like CR was 'dying' to have it...hahaha...
The indication to whether the restaurant is opened or not is through the sight of cars parked on the roadside! We knew that the restaurant was opened on Thursday cos of the cars parked along the raodside!! Hahaha...
The food was actually quite nice, though it was slightly expensive. However, I reckon the quality of the food made the paying worth while :) The service was prompt as well despite the crowd! This restaurant doesn't only serve Yon Tau Foo, but mixed rice & dishes+rice...oh, they have "paper-wrapped chicken" (zhi pao kai in Cantonese) too!! Yums!
The chicken is yummy :) It has grounded ginger, & I think oyster sauce, dark soya sauce, & a bit of sugar...
The sauce for the Yong Tau Foo
I liked the containers! Found 'em so nice!! :P
Radish soup it was!
What's inside the soup?
There's radish, pork, & cuttlefish too! Yums.
