Vietnam Kitchen, Jusco Bkt Tinggi Klang

>> Friday, August 1, 2008

This was a very random decision for dinner yesterday. Lian, Rao, Alex, & myself went all the way from Cyberjaya to Bukit Tinggi, Klang, to meet up with Mei. It has been quite some time since I last met her. We were all one gang while she was working with us :) Time really flew, & she's already in her new job, enjoying herself greatly! *smiles*

Nobody knows where and what to eat, & thus, I made the decision & we ended up at Vietnam Kitchen (I just felt like having some Vietnamese food, regardless of it being authentic or not).

The ambiance at Vietnam Kitchen was rather nice. They have this cosy-feeling sorta concept & surprisingly, the food there was actually good! Seriously, the price wasn't high, & the taste is to be commended :)

They have set meals; each comes with a main course & a glass of ice lemon tea, of which costs RM5.50 ala carte! *faints* The price for the set meals start from RM9.90 to RM12.90 only!! I thought it was quite a good deal since the variety wasn't too bad.

Set A was the stir fried beef with rice;
Set B was the curry chicken with rice;
Set C was the grilled chicken with french toast;
Set D was the sweet & sour fish filet with rice.

Each set comes with a salad & a small portion of achar, which I felt was very tasty :)

Everyone was actually pleased with the food there, AND the price that we paid for the food too! I didnt' take the set meal, but I had the Vietnamese dry vermicelli with Vietnamese-style spring roll & fried chicken cutlets. Oh, it was lovely! *yummy!!* It's a little sourish & spicy, & totally appetizing!

Ok, I'll let the photos speak now... (photos are taken with a camera phone as I didn't bring my camera yesterday)

This plate of boiled peanuts in sauce was very delicious.
It's served before the meal, as a complimentary appetizer.

Ice lemon tea (RM5.50 ala carte/free with set meal)

Vietnamese dry vermicelli with Vietnamese-style Spring Roll & Fried Chicken Cutlets (RM10.90 ala carte)

Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet set (RM12.90/set)

Curry Chicken set (RM10.90/set)

Grilled Chicken set (RM11.90/set)

I love Vietnamese grill pork. A bit like char siew, minus the red colouring. Is it available here? The peanut they served can be available in can. Made in Singapore.

Hi Pete! Thanks for dropping by :) I think they have the grill pork that u mentioned. That place actually offers quite a wide variety of Viet food, so do check it out if you come across one of its branches :)
