Famous Pan Mee, SS19 Subang Jaya

>> Sunday, August 3, 2008

I had quite a full day today. Seriously, it's a "kee siao" (mad) day.

I had a meeting from 10am 'til about 12.30pm to discuss on a national-level youth leadership camp at the end of the year, & after that, headed down to KL Convention Centre for the PC Fair! *faints*

Before CQ & I went down to town, we dropped 2 friends off at Subang Jaya KTM station, & decided to head to SS19 for the famous pan mee/mee huen kueh. The stall is in a corner coffeeshop beside a field with mamak stalls & is on the same row as a child specialist clinic. As soon as you turn into the road to Lik Hung Chinese Primary school, you'll notice a corner coffeeshop selling sugar cane...that's the one that I'm talking about (can't recall the name of the shop!!)

The mee huen kueh is so famous that all its patrons have to take a number before they're served! *faints again* The taste of the noodles is actually quite nice. It's somewhat thick though, but it's a very Hokkien-style, thus the texture of the mee huen kueh. What's best about this noodles is the stir-fried minced pork with dried shrimp, which comes with the mee huen kueh :) Yums!

If you happen to be in SS19, Subang Jaya, you can try this stall out...the overall taste is quite good, but if you're the type who stays away from thick-pan mee, then this won't be something for you to enjoy :)

Hokkien-style Mee Huen Kueh/Pan Mee (RM3.80/bowl)...if I'm not mistaken
