Korea & food (Day 0)

>> Friday, May 18, 2007

Hello to all our faithful readers! Sorry for the delay in updates. I was in Korea for the 14th All Asian Debating Championship for the past 11 days (6-16 May). The competition lasted for 8 days, after which I decided to stay back in Seoul at a new-found friend's place, to do some sight-seeing & to indulge in the various kinds of Korean delicacies ;) In the next few posts, I'll be posting a number of pictures of food & my adventure in Paju & Seoul :) Enjoy!

Day 'zero' - at KLIA (5 May 2007)

The food at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) foodcourt ain't that bad after all. It's slightly pricey...around RM5 per plate of noodles, depending on type of noodles (but that is the norm in airports), but the portion you get & the taste is actually worthwhile :)

- Cantonese fried noodles

klia cantonese fry

- Mee goreng (indian style)

- Chicken rice

On the Malaysian Airlines (MAS)

We boarded the MAS 330 plane around 11.35 pm. On board, we were served 2 meals: supper & the following day's breakfast. The food ain't too bad, considering that it's not some home-cooked food. Below are the assortment that I had:

- Fried fish with noodles (supper)

MAS supper

- Omelette with a sausage & hash brown

MAS breakfast

More food & adventure coming up in Day 1, Korea!
